For years, I searched for my mission.

Like a lot of people, I thought my mission would come from my work, my degrees, my career path, or some big opportunity waiting just around the corner.

And in many ways, my career gave me great experience. I built businesses, created software, worked with organizations to solve complex problems, and provided for my family. But something was always quietly tugging at me beneath all of that. A simple question I couldn’t escape:

What do I stand for?

It took me years, and plenty of missteps, to realize that the answer wasn’t out there somewhere.
It was always inside.
It was about helping others find what I had been searching for myself.

Over time, I found myself drawn into conversations with younger people. College students. Young professionals. Men’s groups. Friends who were at a crossroads. And I saw the same patterns show up again and again: they were well-educated, smart, talented, but often overwhelmed. They had knowledge, but not always clarity. Ambition, but not always direction. The world had taught them how to think, but rarely how to thrive.

That’s when I realized my mission was no longer about my career.
It was about them.
About helping people connect with those who had already walked the road ahead.
About creating a way for students to tap into the kind of real-world wisdom that could save them years of unnecessary struggle.

That spark became I am U.

In many ways, I am U is the culmination of my own journey, but it’s not about me. It’s about creating a space where others can find their path sooner, with more clarity, and with the guidance of those who have lived it. It’s about making sure no one has to walk into the future alone.

That’s why I built I am U.
This is my mission.
And now, it’s here for others to step into theirs.
